RRHE Mission: To strengthen the Richmond area homeschool community through services and communications that facilitate homeschool families as they teach and train the next generation in the light of Scripture. | ||
|
RRHE (Richmond Regional Home Educators) was founded in 1992 to bring together the homeschool communities in the Richmond area and its surrounding counties. RRHE is a homeschool support group that recognizes the truth of Scripture and the Lordship of Christ over all aspects of life, including family and education. As homeschoolers, we firmly believe that parents have the primary God-given responsibility for educating their children. While it is not necessary to ascribe to a particular religious faith to be a member of RRHE, it is necessary for all members to recognize and respect that RRHE's mission, perspective, and public gatherings will reflect a Christian worldview.
RRHE provides service and support to home educators on and offline through a wide variety of services. These services include:
• Community: Homeschoolers are able to easily network, communicate, and participate in a community facilitated by Richmond home school events and the RRHE Forum. • Activity Meeting: An open-house meeting that assists homeschool families and local support groups in organizing activities, athletics and cultural events.• Used Curriculum Fair: An open-house meeting at the end of the school year that provides an opportunity to buy and sell used curriculum. Our hope is that RRHE will continue to help develop and strengthen the community that exists among Richmond Regional Home Educators and facilitate communication and activities through the Richmond homeschool community.
